So a little bit about me. I grew up in Eugene, Oregon where I attained my K-12 education from the Bethel School District. I attended high school at Willamette High School where I had a great foundation for my education from some wonderful teachers and a principal, all who inspired me to become an educator.
After high school I attended the University of Oregon where I got my B.S. in General Science concentrating on Chemistry and Biology. While attending school I worked for the Institute for Molecular Biology as an assistant working on research projects with Dr. Bruce Bowerman. After graduation I stayed on working for Dr. Bowerman until I attended Pacific University to earn my M.A. in Teaching.
After graduate school I taught a year in Arizona, then moved back to Oregon and taught chemistry and physics for 3 years at a private school in Eugene. When that position was cut back to part-time, my family and I relocated to Tillamook where I took a position teaching middle school science.
Currently I am working on my Ed. S. degree in Educational Administration from Lewis and Clark.
I like to spend a lot of my free time with my wife and kids, developing curriculum for teaching science by integrating technology in the classroom, as well as developing applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
